We do have a big CA trip planned and I’m taking a couple of my kids to a karate tournament in Atlanta, but outside of VBS we avoid camps, and focus on playdates and just being present in sweet summer.
Oh I have lots of FL recs, especially since you all are a camping family! The state parks here are top notch. If you can ever get a spot at Gamble Roger’s SP, it is one of our absolute faves. Where in CA are you heading?
Oh fun! Next FL trip I’m asking you! Mainly Santa Barbara, Ventura county! We also will be going up to San Luis Opispo and Ojai. It’s for my 40th so no camping this time - hotels it is. Yet, they all have kitchens so still can make a lot of our meals.
We have an above ground pool that we just got ready for the summer. My summer plans are to sit on the patio reading good books while my kids play in the pool. Then to catch fireflies at night and have some fires to roast marshmallows. We have a few small plans, but nothing big. Slow and simple.
